Good morning from The Garden!

I’ll be there if the Lord’s willin’ and the creek don’t rise.”

I’ve heard grandpa and others say this often.

It is a bit of Southern wisdom that is more Biblical that you might realize.

For that you ought to say ‘If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.’ ” James 4:15.

Everything that we do should be done with the thought: “If the Lord will…”

Too much expected planning can rob you of the joy of living moment by moment in God’s will.

Making plans is not a sin, but doing so without realizing that the plans are “subject to change” is forgetting that you belong to God.

God wants to be included in all your plans—present and future.

So if the Lord’s willin’ and the creek don’t rise, I will face the day with anticipation of all that is good and be with you here “In The Garden” tomorrow.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
