We have often heard that we must plant the seed and let God bring the harvest. But the following verse has a different view of our role as Christians.
“Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest .” John 4:34.
Sometimes Christians excuse themselves from witnessing by saying, “I don’t know what to say” or “my friends or family just are not ready to listen.“
Jesus makes it clear with His words that the world around us is ready to hear. He says that there is a continual harvest right at our door steps.
Look around and you will find people ready to hear God’s Word–ready to taste the life that you already enjoy in Christ. But they cannot know this life Christ has to offer unless someone is ready to gather the harvest. Will you be that someone?
