I read somewhere this little quip:
Satan says to God, “I can make man from dust, too. That’s no big deal!”
God replies, “Good for you. Get your own dust.“
“Through Him all things were created; without Him nothing was made that has been made—” John 1:3.
To discover something means that it already existed and you found it! To create is making something that never existed before!
When God created, He made something from nothing. He created us from nothing—so where does all that pride come from? We must continue to remember that we exist only because God made us. We have special gifts because God gave them to us.
With God we are unique and valuable; without God we become nothing again.
If we try to live without God at the center of our lives, we defeat the very purpose for which we were created—to honor Him.
