I love the movie FACING THE GIANTS. It is a faith-based movie produced by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia on a very limited budget. It has had a great impact on many people especially young athletes.
In a scene from this movie, a young man is angry with his father, and the coach calls him on his angry actions. The young man remarks, “My father just doesn’t understand me.”
The coach makes an important statement in response: “You can’t judge others by their actions and expect them to judge you by your intentions.”
While it is true that God knows our intentions, we must realize that others can only determine who we are by our actions.
“All a man’s ways seem right to him, but the lord weighs the heart.” Proverbs 21:2.
If our motives are pure, God will direct our actions.
