Yesterday, my daughter and I were in the car bringing my great granddaughter to visit . We heard “Are we in Mississippi yet?” more than a few times. We had listened to praise music and Disney songs. So I asked her to tell me her favorite song. Without hesitation she said “Holy Forever.” I then said, “Sing it with me” and with her hands lifted up and her head held high, she began:
.….And the angels cry, Holy
All creation cries, Holy
You are lifted high, Holy
Holy forever…….
She continued, and her sweetness brought tears to my eyes, It is never too soon to teach children about the love of God. The Bible commands us to become like children. We can all learn a lesson from the simple faith of a child, even through music..
“...Whoever humbles himself like the child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven…” Matthew 18:4.
