Good morning from The Garden!

During this Easter season we bare a heavy heart as we think of the suffering of Christ on the cross, and we praise God for the resurrection that gives us eternal life.

When I think of Christ’s being 100% God, I tend to forget how He suffered because He was also 100% man. As God, no one could take His life. He gave it up in His own time and in His own way.  “Into Thy hands I commit my Spirit.”  Luke 23:46.

As man, He felt every pain –the beatings, the mocking, the crucifixion, the heartbreaking sight of His mother’s eyes filled with agony. Through it all He had only one thought in mind and that was “Thy Will Be Done.

He endured the cross because of His love for all mankind.  He became sin to free us from sin; “My God, why have You forsaken me….”   He forgave so that we also will forgive; “Father forgive them……”  He arose to eternal life so that we also might live. “He is not here; He has risen…”

My prayer:  Dear God, may we never take this for granted.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
