Good morning from The Garden!

Today is Good Friday.  The day of the cross.  It’s hard for us to say good when Jesus suffered so much on this day.

It is hard to imagine the agony Christ felt when He took on the sins of the world on the cross. He was a perfect being with a perfect relationship with the Heavenly Father. Yet in His last moments He spoke these words: “My God, my God, Why hast thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46.

By bearing our sins, He alienated Himself from God because God cannot look upon sin. At that moment Jesus became sin and felt the pain of separation from God.

Think of a time you felt separated from someone you love. Maybe it was an argument or something you said or did that caused the separation. It might have been only a short time—minutes, hours, days—but it was painful.

This empty, painful feeling can only remind you in a small way of what Christ felt when He took your sins to the cross.

Christ loves you and never wants you to experience this loss, so claim His love and do not let sin in your life separate you from a loving Father.

So is today GOOD.  Of course it is, because on this day, God’s plan was complete.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
