Good morning from The Garden!

Diets——There are so many advertised today.  Each one is supposed to be the best to help you lose weight, lower your cholesterol, control your sugar level, give you a healthy heart, or whatever else you might need to help you with your problem.

And—–they are always changing– First, chocolate was bad for you;  stay away!  Now chocolate is good for you; eat some every day.  First, coffee was bad for you;  now some say it is good for you; drink two cups a day.  First, beware, eggs are bad for you; now you need to eat two a day as a good source of protein—-There are foods with good fat and bad fat.  I could go on but I know you get the picture.

I’m still waiting on someone to tell me how healthy french fries and doughnuts are for me.  I know that a french fry is just a little stick that holds my salt, but it’s my favorite.

But, seriously, we know that we are all different in the way that we take care of ourselves.  The things we eat will make a difference in our overall health. God settles the debate on the right and wrong food to eat.  In His Word, He simply states:  Don’t judge others.

The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him.”  Romans 14:3.

This passage is not merely referring to what we eat.  It goes much deeper; It is directed toward people of strong faith passing judgment on those of weaker faith.  Just as we should respect another’s special diet, we should respect others whose faith is not full-grown and influence them in a way that will strengthen their faith.

The One diet that never changes:  “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth....” 2 Timothy 2:15.

This is always the right health food. The diet we should all stay on daily.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
