Yesterday was our anniversary. I have been married to my husband for 57 years. That is a long time. LOL . I can still remember that excited young girl of 19 who was starting out a brand new life with the young man she loved. I could not see my future. I could not see the children or grandchildren and all the blessings that I would receive along the way. But I began the journey anyway.
So often we try to determine the future. We want to know ahead of time before we make a decision. But life is not like that. We trust God to help us and then we live in the present as He directs our every path that leads into our future.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8.
I think this scripture expresses best what I am trying to say. Think about it.
