Why do we always want to do it our own way, instead of doing things God’s way?
Even though God wants to hold on to us and prevent us from straying away from His protection, we often tug on the lease as far as we can.
Not long ago I saw a cartoon of a very small boy being pulled down the sidewalk by a huge Great Dane. The little boy was trying his best to pull back on the leash, all the while shouting, “Now, let’s get this straight. You are my dog! I am not your boy!”
God probably wants to tell us this same thing. “Quit trying my patience! Just trust me, walk with me, and let me lead!”
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.” Psalm 28:7.
When we let God lead, we find the confidence to enjoy our Christian walk.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
