Good morning from The Garden!

I watched some of the commercials during the Super Bowl last night and I never knew the purpose of any of them.  They were loud and busy.  No one in any of them had a normal face or attaire.  I intensely observed a few to the end to see what was being advertised.  Finally at the very end, there might be a word or sign that said a name.

If no one is sure of the product that is being advertised, then the commercial is just loud noise.

I’m admitting this to you because I think it is important that we realize that people around us need to know what we stand for—what we are advertising every day.

We can study God’s Word; we can memorize His Word; we can go to church to worship with others; we say with loud voices how much we love Jesus; and we can claim to be a Christian, but the only way others can truly know who we are is to live for Christ everyday.

HIS name should be part of our life (our commercial) every minute of every day.  Then people will truly know WHO we advertise.  It is never our own accomplishments that we promote, it is always Christ’s accomplishments through us that others will see.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you our of darkness into His wonderful light.  Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.‘  1 Peter 2:9-10.

If we believe these words and believe in the Christ who gave us mercy, then we will live in His mercy and advertise it clearly to others through our lives every day.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
