I went down memory lane last Friday as I attended the North Louisiana Livestock Show. For years when my children were young, we participated in the competition showing their Hereford Cattle. It was a good time in our lives and being there on Friday brought back good memories. I loved seeing the animals–cows, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits, and chickens.—- My grandson Courtland was showing chickens–yes chickens. Grand Champion chickens I might add. It was a new experience but a really good one. He caught the fever and can’t wait to show again.
I loved watching the families, smelling the sawdust, watching my step (if you know what I mean).
Above all, this livestock show is about family–the youth, the parents, the little siblings, the grandparents, the friends—all (freezing) and having a good time. Making memories.
These memories help us to live in the “today” and to let God take care of our yesterday and our tomorrow. So make memories and remember to ”Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today…” Hebrews 3:13.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
