Good morning from The Garden!

Do you find yourself getting very agitated when you have to wait? I have to admit that sometimes I do—but I’m working on it!

I guess no one likes it, but life is full of waiting—waiting in traffic, stalled on interstate; waiting at the red light; waiting in line with a grocery basket while the one in front of you goes through newspapers and looks at coupons; waiting with the phone in your ear after being put on hold; waiting for the phone to ring; waiting to see the doctor; waiting on test results—–waiting, waiting, waiting——

I guess this impatience when waiting is why we have so much trouble waiting on the Lord. We want everything He has promised us and we want it now.  I have a coffee cup that reads:  “Lord, give me patience and hurry!”  Is that your prayer?

The Psalmist urges us to slow down and learn to wait patiently. God will work out in our lives that which is best for us. We just have to take time to know what it is.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…” Psalm 37:7a.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
