Good morning from The Garden!

Moms nurture their children; they teach them diligently; they nurse their wounds; they cry with their disappointments; they pray with them and they pray for them. Then there comes a time when they must let go —and let God.

Hannah exemplifies the sacrificial nature of a loving mom. She prayed for a son and when God answered her prayer and gave her a son Samuel, she began motherhood prepared to do what all mothers must eventually do—— give their child to God and let God have control.

And she said to him[Eli], ‘As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the Lord. I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.’ ” 1 Samuel 1:26-28

She remained a part of Samuel’s life, but God had control, and we know from her prayer of praise that it felt wonderful!

My heart rejoices in the Lord———— There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.” 1 Samuel 2:1-2.

She gave her child to God and found peace.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
