“Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’
Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands; reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’
Thomas said to Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’
Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.‘ ” John 20:26-29.
So often people need proof of the existence of God. They want proof that Jesus died and rose again. They want proof that Jesus appeared to His disciples and others after the resurrection.
The proof is in the believing—–it’s like knowing the wind causes the trees to sway, not really understanding what causes the wind,. and yet, believing anyway.
All the proof we really need in the Holy Word of God.
“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:31.
