Good morning from The Garden!

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him.” Romans 1:21a.

Perhaps God’s greatest concern is not those who claim to be atheists and say there is no God, but rather those who claim to believe in God and do not give Him first place in their lives.

When the people of Israel played “pretend church,” God expressed His anger through the prophet Isaiah.

“Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me—I cannot bear your assemblies. Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them.

Isaiah 1:13.

These words may sound harsh, but God wants our whole hearts, our true devotion, and our sincere thanks when we worship. He wants the actions of our daily lives to be a reflection of our inner faith.

May we hear God’s words and remember that God knows the heart.

Have a blessed day!

In Christian love,

Diane
