So many friends and so much beautiful family gathered together to celebrate the life of Truman who wore not one, but many hats: Husband, Dad, Papaw, Uncle, Friend.
I also have received many condolences and comments through social media that I can’t possibly acknowledge all of them. But you are in my heart and I appreciate your thought and prayers.
There is a big hole in my heart this morning. Many of you know how it is when you lose someone near and dear to you heart.
But I thought about that hole and realized that God has the power to fill it.
“You have made known to me the path of life; You will FILL me with JOY in your presence with eternal pleasure at your right hand.”
The JOY that God provides does not have anything to do with happiness. Happiness comes from outside and depends on earthly things. JOY is of God. He fills me with JOY in His presence.
