Good morning from The Garden!

The papers had been graded and the time had come to pass back the exams to the students—–

As the teacher I always wanted my students to do well on their tests. Often I would curve the grades or give them a chance for bonus points. I would even on occasions just simply ask them to write something they studied that I didn’t ask on the test because they so often wanted to say, “I knew ‘this’ and you did not even ask it!”

I never wanted my students to fail, but sometimes they did fail because of lack of preparation on their part, and all I could do at this point was to give them the failing grade. The challenge was now ahead of them: Do better next time.

God never wants us to fail. When our doubts and fears try to take over our lives and our mistakes seem too big a failure to overcome, we need to remember that God will hold us, support us, and help us to overcome and to be better next time.

“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholds Him with His hand.” Psalm 37:24.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
