I have always heard “You can’t fix stupid.” I just have to address this and get it out there. When I heard the congressman stand before the 117th Congress and pray a prayer to all gods by whatever name they are called and then end the prayer with “Amen” and “A-woman,” I really thought “This has to be a joke.” But it is not a joke. We are facing an enemy right here in our own country. “One Nation Under God” is under attack.
Now I address our daily routine and our daily lives. They go on as they always have. Putting God first in our own lives keeps us from being drawn in or drawn down because of what is going on in our country today. We can place our days in God’s hands and know that He will carry us through.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me–put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9.
“Think about these things.” This means allow God to control your thoughts, and then He will place His peace in your heart every day.
Through the ages God has been under attack many times before. He always wins. We know the end of the story. AMen!
