Good morning from The Garden!

My friend Mary and I were talking the other morning after a fierce storm had come through the night before.  She mentioned to me something her mom had always done during a storm.  She said, “When the lightning and thunder stormed, Mom would always gather us children up and put us with her in her bed.  She would then open the Bible and place it over us.  Then she would say that we are protected by His Word, nothing can harm us…”

What a wonderful lesson for us all!

But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.” Psalm 5:11.

The prayer of the Psalmist is our prayer today. God can protect us from the storms that come up in our lives if we open up His Word and claim His promise. He will surround us with protection and turn our fears into joy.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
