Jesus makes the Kingdom of God personal. It is not national; it is not ethnic; it is not cultural; it is not inherited automatically. It is given by grace to all who choose to believe.
Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a member of the Sanhedrin. He had knowledge of Old Testament scripture and knowledge of the law of Moses. He was educated and held a place of respect and honor.
He had all these credentials and yet, he still had to come to Jesus personally to be saved.
“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Just like the ABC’s—–Admit, Believe, and Confess. But I think I’ll add the D for deliver. Once we are saved, we have to deliver our message through word and deed. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
A simple plan but powerful enough to save the world.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
