When we give a gift, we give the gift unconditionally out of a desire to show our love or respect for the individual.
But we still like to see the gift used in the right way or placed in just the right spot or displayed in appreciation daily.
We are disappointed if we find that the gift is stored away and never enjoyed by the recipient.
While eternal life is a gift freely given on the basis of God’s grace to all who ask, each of us will be judged by Christ.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10.
All Christians must give account for how we have lived, not to see if we will get to heaven, but to see how much of heaven was seen in us on earth.
The gift of salvation is free to us, but it cost Christ His all.— May we always remember its value and display it proudly for all to see.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
