Good morning from The Garden!

Good morning from The Garden!

In Matthew 20 Jesus tells the parable of the workers.

The landowner hired workers early in the morning to work his field. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day’s work and then sent them to the field.

Throughout the day, he hired other workers who were without work to help in the field. He continued this throughout the day until the final hour.

When the time came to pay the men, he gave each of the workers a denarius. Equal pay—the ones who had labored all day for the landowner were upset and complained. He tells the grumbling workers that they agreed to work for a denrius and asks them, “are you envious because I am generous to all.” Matthew 20:15.

Eternal life is a reward to all who believe—-to the man who was saved at the age of eight in Vacation Bible School and has served the Lord faithfully for 65 years. And to the woman who accepts God’s gift of salvation at the end of her life after she has lived her entire life denying God’s existence and totally out of God’s will.

To the thief on the cross Jesus said these words: “Today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

To the faithful disciple, Jesus said these words: “I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye may be also.” John 14:3

Both men received the gift of salvation—–God’s grace covers us all!

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
