Good morning from The Garden!

“Understanding is the fountain of life to all who have it, but folly brings punishment to fools.” Proverbs 16:22.

I googled the definition of “understanding” and found something even more meaningful than just the definition—-some examples given in Wikipedia to help one grasp the meaning. Two of these examples really stood out for me in bold letters:

1. “A person UNDERSTANDS a command if he/she knows who gave it, what is expected by the issuer, and whether the command is legitimate, and whether one understands the speaker.

2. One UNDERSTANDS a math concept if one can solve problems using it, especially problems that are not similar to what one has seen before.

You know God is the One True God, creator of all things; you know the moral commands God has given His people; you know that what God expects of you; You know that His commands are true and Holy; and you know that God never changes so He is never confusing and He can be known personally.

God is not a math concept, but you must understand that you can use Him daily to solve your problems. He knows what is ahead even when you haven’t encountered the problem before.

Understanding gives you life, but folly (definition: lack of good sense) brings separation and fear of the unknown.

God wants you to seek life.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
