Do you get tired of trying to please someone? Maybe it seems that you can do nothing right? That is the way it can be in life today.
But let me assure you that it is not the way God planned for you to receive the gift of everlasting life. He took the pressure off of you when He sent His son to die on the cross for your sin and for the sins of the world. Although you are saved to do good works, you cannot be good enough to enter heaven on your own power.
“Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.” Romans 6:4-5.
United by faith in the Resurrected Christ, we have an unbroken fellowship with God and complete freedom from sin’s hold on us.
“For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14.
“For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
The burden has been lifted, so trust in the Resurrected Lord and accept Him as the payment for your sin. For this He died and rose again. He waits to receive you into His kingdom when His time is right.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
