Good morning from The Garden!

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much—-So if you have not been trustworty in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” Luke 16:10-12.

Since I believe that happiness is the most lasting kind of wealth, let me paraphrase these verses thinking in terms of happiness, not material wealth.

Whoever finds true happiness when he has very little can also find happiness when he has much.  If you are not happy with what you have been given here in this world, then how can you be trusted to share with others the happiness of eternal life?

And if you are not able to be happy for someone else and what he/she achieves or possesses, then you will never find happiness within yourself.

God simply tells you to find the blessings that are in front of you every day.  The happiness that the scripture embraces is not earthly happiness that depends on everything around you.  It is the deep joy that you can find only in the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.  Have confidence in this love and trust Christ to do the rest.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
