Good morning from The Garden!

The man had never ventured very far from his ten acres. One day he decided to take his wife and son to the big city. When he arrived, he looked at the tall buildings and was completely awed.

He and his son were looking around the large hotel when suddenly the wall just opened up and a little old lady leaning on a cane stepped into the box in the wall. The wall closed up behind her.

Then just as suddenly the wall opened up again and a beautiful blond lady stepped out and walked away. He looked down and said, “Son, quick, go get your mama!!”

This little quip reminds us that we can’t always look just at the things right in front of us, because we don’t always understand what we are seeing, or we don’t understand why it is happening.

God wants us to look at the whole picture. He wants us to see by faith beyond the moment.

Moses had to see beyond his fears and uncertainties to allow God to lead him. “By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw Him who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27.

The king’s anger was right in front of him. He saw past the fear and followed God’s lead. We can do the same.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
