Is it possible that God does not like you today? This is definitely a possibility. But you always know that He loves you unconditionally.
We don’t always like others, but having the heart of Christ demands that we love others.
We are to love others because God first loved us: “See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are…..” 1 John 3:1.
God wants us to be part of His family. He accepts us as we are—what’s the expression “warts and all–.” All we have to do is accept His Son Jesus.
Faith in Jesus is the one condition that brings us into the family of God. “For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.” Galatians 3: 26.
“Anyone who claims to be in the light (in Christ), but hates his brother, is still in darkness…...” 1 John 2:9.
Acceptance into God’s family is a cornerstone for all other relationships. Once you know that you are loved unconditionally, it is easier for you to love in the same way. You are then a better father, mother, daughter, son, sister, brother, friend, neighbor, co-worker, or just a better person.
When you don’t like— remember— you can love–– as God loves you. This love will soften your heart and determine your actions.
