“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but HE IS STRONG. Yes Jesus loves me–THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.”
I awoke this morning singing this childhood song; As I play with my little great granddaughter today, the words seem more meaningful to me. I can be sure of His love for me and for her simply because The Bible tells me so.
This is a simple message sung as a child that should be in our hearts now and forever.
“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us…..We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:11,19.
Through His love, Jesus gives us strength and joy for the moment, for the day, for a lifetime. I know it’s a fact because “The Bible tells me so.”
