I am sitting here looking out across the lake and reflecting on the sacrifices of so many others who have made this possible for me.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for a friend.” John 15:13
On this memorial day weekend, there is no scripture more fitting for us to remember. It reminds us of the many men and women who have sacrificed their lives so that others can live free. We also need to think of those who are still fighting for our freedoms. May God be with the families as we salute each of them.
I leave with you the first two verses of the SOLDIER’S PRAYER from Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2.
May God watch over all the young men and women in our Armed Forces who are providing freedom for so many.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
