I’ve often heard this statement: Your character is determined by who you are when no one else is looking.
“...I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.” Psalm 101:2b
The Psalmist David is proclaiming that His walk with God begins within himself– within his home.
What would you change in your home if Jesus suddenly just popped in? Would you change the TV channel? Would you change your tone of voice? Would you change your decor? The person God wants you to be must begin in your most personal space–your home.
Bring Jesus into your home and invite Him to stay. He determines your character because He is always looking. He alone can give you a perfect heart.
