Good morning from The Garden!

This weekend we enjoyed the 53rd Bradley Reunion with all ages, including  babies that represent the 6th generation of descendants of Grandma and Grandpa Bradley. Together we played, laughed, loved, cried, and worshiped.  We reminisced and told stories of time spent when we were young.   These stories have come from memories that have been etched on our minds for generations.   Our children and grandchildren now have stories of their own.

Our heritage of faith and our strength as a family must be passed on in the same way–by telling the stories.

Deuteronomy 6:6-4-7 tells us this: “….The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up….”

Deuteronomy 4:9 “Watch out! Be very careful never to forget what you have seen God doing for you. May his miracles have a deep and permanent effect upon your lives! Tell your children and your grandchildren about the glorious miracles he did—-Remember the day you STOOD before the Lord…..” Deuteronomy 4:9.

Tell your children your stories—tell them what God has done for you.

God is the God of today, He is the God of yesterday, and He is the God of tomorrow.

Keep telling the stories, for in the story lies the key to God’s grace, mercy, strength, love, forgiveness, and power. In the story you find your witness not just to your family but to others as well.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
