Ralph Waldo Emerson states that a friend is one “with whom I can speak my thoughts aloud.” Everyone needs a friend who will listen to him and be loyal to him at all times.
But having that special friend actually begins with you.
“A man that has friends must show himself friendly.” Proverbs 18:24.
Instead of always wishing that you have friends, you must try first of all to be one.
There are people everywhere who need your friendship. Ask God to reveal them to you and to direct you to help them in a special way.
As you show yourself friendly, you will get your mind off “self” and will be able to recognize the needs of others. When this happens, you will find a friend with whom you can speak your thoughts aloud!
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
