I enjoy looking at pictures of the flower gardens and rose gardens of some of my friends. I think, “I wish I had a beautiful garden like that.” I have a blooming plant in a flower pot sitting next to my back door. I sometimes walk by it and don’t even notice it. I get caught up in the surroundings or the stuff that is in my hand as I unload the car. I guess I just take it for granted. This morning I took a picture of my flower up close and realized that it was a beautiful bouquet–as pretty as I have ever seen. I really looked at it.
God doesn’t see you in the crowd and take for granted who you are. He sees you up close and personal and loves you. He doesn’t see you as insignificant or unworthy. You, like my flower, do not have to be blooming in the middle of the rose garden. You can bloom wherever you are. Young or old, introvert or extrovert, rich or poor—-He sees you as a beautiful addition to His world and His ministry.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young ( or for any other reason), but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
