Good morning from The Garden!

When my grandchildren were small, they would play hard until they just got too tired to stand on their own. They would then turn to me and simply say, “Hold me!!”

I would then reach down and pick them up. Their arms would go around my neck and I would “hold them.” I could feel them relax as they totally rested in my arms.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.” 1 Peter 5:6.

But I’ve also noticed that when a child doesn’t want to be held, it is very hard to pick him/her up. The body stiffens and that determined spirit makes the sweet cuddly body a real challenge. The child just wants to be left alone.

God wants to hold you. His arms are wide open waiting to receive you as you are.

But you know that He cannot hold you unless you are willing to be held.

When you let God pick you up, not only does it relieve you of your burden, it makes God overjoyed just knowing that you love Him and depend on Him.

He is waiting to take your burden. So hold your hands up today and rest in His arms.

Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.” v . 7.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
