Good morning from The Garden!

There is a great burden on parents to bring up their children in the “admonition of the Lord.” We all want to know that we have done our best to help our children become responsible Christian adults.

The scriptures often express to us the need to discipline our children.

When the infraction occurs, think these thoughts! Is it dangerous, indecent, immoral, or illegal?

If not, then choose your battles carefully.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14.

When love overrides anger, the results of the discipline can be long lasting.

This may mean reacting in a different way to certain situations.

God desires that we demonstrate complete balance between love and discipline.

This is why time is important. When you spend time loving your child, your discipline will be an extension of that love. You will know it, and your child will feel it.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
