Christmas night  was so much fun!  As my family gathered together we laughed, played games, told stories, and then laughed some more.  I sat there thinking:  “This is the best day of my life!”   But if I’m honest, there have been many “best days.”
Too many to list, of course!
You have been there. You remember saying these same words the day you won a championship, or the day you got that special promotion, or the day your child was born, or the day your child or your grandchild accepted Christ (that’s a huge one), or the day you woke up without pain—-you can add to the list.
But all these moments are moments of happiness, not pure joy.
Happiness comes and goes, but the joy that God gives is everlasting.
When you limit your life to circumstances, you are limiting God and what He can do in your life. You miss the joy of each moment along the way.
“You have made known to me the path; You will fill me with JOY in Your presence; at Thy right hand are eternal pleasures.” Psalm 16:11
In His presence you feel lasting joy. With Christ in your heart, He walks with you all the way.
Then when that special moment comes, it adds to the joy that is already a part of your life.
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37:7
Have a blessed Day!
In Christian love,
Diane
