My dad used to tease me about my big feet. He would say, “Well, at least you never have to worry about your feet holding you up! You should be well-balanced!”
Well, actually, it has always been just the opposite. I am clumsy and often bump my toes and shins on obstacles in my path. Very often I never realize that there is an obstruction—I turn the corner too fast, or I am not paying attention, or sometimes I just get too close and my feet go before me–really!!!!
Sometimes those whose lives we touch are walking through life in this same way. We must be careful that we do not become the very obstacle that causes him/her to falter.
“We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.” 2 Corinthians 6:3.
As Christians, we are all ministers of God, trying to make the path clear for others to see Christ. May we pray that our actions will not cause another to stumble along the way!
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
