God promised the Israelites that the Promised Land would be theirs. He promised that it would be rich and fertile: “a land flowing with milk and honey.”
When God told Moses to send a representative from each tribe to the land to scout it for the entire group, most of them returned with a typical human response:
“We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey; here is its fruit.” (They were carrying large clusters of grapes from the vines)
—-BUT—–(then the doubting begins.) “The people who live there are powerful and the cities are fortified and very large, and…….” (and so on and so on!)Numbers 13:27,28.
That is so typical “US!” We so often miss the blessing because we are so busy seeing the negative.
God can brighten our day and pour His blessings on us if we just see Him clearly and trust that He wants what is best for us.
We have to remember that God neutralizes the negative and accents the positive—always. We just have to do the same.
