“A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all—” Psalm 34:19.
Wait a minute! Isn’t that a misprint? Shouldn’t that verse say that a righteous man will have no troubles?!!!!!!
Are we guilty of thinking this way? If I am good enough, faithful enough, giving enough, etc. God will keep me from all harm?
We all wish we could escape troubles—the pain of grief, loss, sorrow, failure, daily frustrations. But the truth is that troubles come.
But God promises to be deliver us from them all—deliverance might mean seeing us through to the other side of the trouble and it might mean keeping us from the trouble, but God promises deliverance.
When trouble strikes, don’t get frustrated with God. Instead, admit that you need Him and thank Him for being by your side.
Have a blessed day!
