Good morning from The Garden!

It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” Psalm 18:32.

I once had an opportunity to see a power lifter in action. This young man lifted, broke, and bent objects that others could not even move.

He demonstrated tremendous strength throughout his program, as admiration and applause filled the room.

But he quickly explained that his weight lifting was just a gimmick to get the attention of others so he could talk about the strength of faith in Christ.

He pointed out that his body was strong, but nothing compared to the strength that he found in living for Christ.

Paul had the same message for the Christians at Ephesus:

“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
Ephesians 3:16-19.

God’s strength makes all of us Power Lifters. We share God’s power in us as we demonstrate strength of faith every day.
