Good morning from The Garden!
In the days and weeks after a storm or hurricane devastates an area, one of the things that I have noticed is the truck loads of water that come to the area. Water is always needed. Water is priceless in all times. Water sustains our bodies, cleanses us when we are dirty, puts out destructive fires, and helps our plants to grow. It is beneficial in soooo many ways.
Jesus knows that life depends on water. But He also knows that no matter how often we drink the water, we will always need more. He reveals that we need a different kind of water —-we need the Living Water.
“Jesus said, “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14.
Can you imagine never thirsting again. I think I need to get a drink of water right now just writing this passage. But this is the miracle of Jesus’ Words. We will never thirst again. Jesus tells us that no matter how much we drink of the Water of Life, the well never runs dry.
Never to thirst again–a beautiful promise—an everlasting reward..
