Good morning from The Garden!

As you reflect on the year 2020, you will see what God has brought you through.  Maybe it has been a year of trials and difficult decisions; maybe it has brought great sadness to you in the illness or death of a loved one; maybe you have seen the birth of a child or a grandchild and your heart is filled;  maybe you’ve seen blessings that you hadn’t anticipated.

But here you are, about to begin a new year and God is right here at the center of it all.

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Take a closer look at this scripture and you will find all of the above connected to God’s will for you—“Being joyful,”  “praying continually,” and “giving thanks in all circumstances.”

All experiences [circumstances] in our lives may not be God’s will for us, but our attitude toward Him through each experience brings us closer to Him or pulls us farther away.

So as this year comes to an end, let us pause and give God thanks for another year to live, to love, to praise, to have friends, to be a friend——-

“Lord, let us not be proud and take the credit when our lives are filled with good, and let us not be distressed and blame You when the trials seem too hard to bear.  I pray that we can lean on you in every circumstance and see Your Power through it all.”  Amen.

Have a blessed day and a Happy New Year!
In Christian love,
Diane
