This verse from the 23rd Psalm reminds me once again that I am cared for and cherished every moment of every day by a Heavenly Father who loves me:
“The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.” what a comforting thought!
Sheep totally trust the shepherd–He never leads them into danger. They sometimes wander away from his protection, but he finds them and brings them back to safety.
When we find ourselves in troubled waters, it is not because God wants us to be there. “He leadeth me beside still waters.” Still waters—-that is where God wants us to be!
“It is He that has made us and not we ourselves…we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100: 3.
God is the Shepherd. He takes the lead. We just have to follow.
