Good morning from The Garden!

The first step in building a house is preparing and laying a solid foundation. Then the house can be constructed. Even with a solid foundation, the house must be built with quality materials. If faulty materials are used to build the house, then the house will have trouble holding up through the years during the rains, the wind, and the storms.

So it is with each person today. The first step is to accept Jesus as our very foundation. He has already laid it for us. But just having the right foundation does not tell the whole story or as I should say does not “build a house that will weather the storms.”

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the day will bring it to light.”
1 Corinthians 3:10-11.

We build our houses with quality materials that come from a loving heart— the heart of Christ. “…joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

When we use these materials, we are guided to make good decisions, and we each can build a solid house that is honored by Christ.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
