Good morning from The Garden!

There was no one more corrupt and sinful than Manasseh.  He rebelled against God’s authority.  He worshiped pagan gods and desecrated Solomon’s temple with this idols; he practiced witchcraft and sorcery and he even sacrificed his own children to appease these false gods—-no other sin could be greater than the sacrifice of the innocent.  “He did much evil in the sight of the Lord….” 2 Chronicles 33:6.

Yet, he repented and God forgave!!!!!!!

In his distress he sought favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.  And when he prayed to Him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so He brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom.  Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.”  2 Chronicles 33:12,13.

No one is ever too far gone to turn to God for forgiveness.  So many times people think that they have done things that cannot be undone.  This may be true, the consequences are still there, but the heart can be healed.  Forgiveness is there for the asking.

If God can forgive Manasseh and restore him to his kingdom, then he can forgive anyone who sincerely repents.  Manasseh could not change the damage that was done, but he could begin anew and try to rebuild and to restore.  “He restored the altar of the Lord and told Judah to serve the Lord, the God of Israel.”  33: 16.

Repentance brings forgiveness and forgiveness brings healing and healing gives life.

Have a blessed day!

In Christian love,

Diane
