Good morning from The Garden!

“O Lord my God, I take refuge In you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me, or they will tear me like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.” Psalm 7:1-3.

Nothing is hidden from God—He knows our most inner thoughts. He alone judges our actions.

This can either be terrifying or comforting.

If we are the one being pursued, this thought is comforting. If we are the one pursuing another person, this thought can be terrifying.

The tongue is a powerful thing. “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing…” James 3:9-10.

We are to be silent and listen to the hearts of others. We are to worship daily with our tongue and our actions. Instead of beating people down, God commands us to build them up, to help them in their despair, and to forgive them as Christ forgives us.

I pray that we will never find ourselves worshipping on Sunday and defaming His name on Monday by hurting another.

Love your neighbor as yourself— This is second only to loving Almighty God.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
