The apostle John presents a clear message to fellow believers in 1,2,3 John. He presents God as “light” “love” and “life.”
He ends with a simple command to us all.
“Dear Children, keep yourselves from idols.” 1 John 5:21.NIV
An idol is any loyalty that replaces God at the center of your life. Be aware, be strong, be sensitive, be confident, and be sure.
Know that the decisions you make point others to the God of light, love, and life.
