Good morning from The Garden!

David was the King of Israel.  He was chosen by God and yet he was far from perfect.  His sins seem to multiply daily.  He knew the sin of coveting, theft, adultery, and even murder.  This seems like someone that God would never use for His kingdom, and yet we know that King David repented and God forgave Him. He became a great king and of his lineage came the King of all Kings, Jesus Christ.

Most of us know the background story of David, his faith, his faults and his victories, but in all this he had a friend that many do not even think about.

Nathan was a prophet during the years when David was king. …”The Lord sent Nathan to David…..”  2 Samuel 12:1.  He confronted David and helped him see his wrongdoing by reminding him that God would not accept his sinful ways.  Nathan was not afraid to talk to King David, and he did not hold back on what needed to be said.  He was a true friend.  He did everything out of his love for the king and his love for God.

Even when the truth is painful, a true friend can speak to you and help you see what needs to be done to correct the problem.

“A friend loveth at all times…..”   This isn’t just in the good times.  It is in ALL times .

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
