Good morning from The Garden!

David acknowledges that God knew him before he was born.  “….You knit me together in my mother’s womb……”  Psalm 139:13.

He knew that God planned the path for his life before his life began. ‘…All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one came to be……”  Psalm 139:16.

David knew that he had “messed up” and God knew it too.  But David reached out and asked God to search his heart.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.  v. 23-24.

David is requesting exploratory surgery for sin. Maybe this is just what we need.  It is possible for us to ignore the pain and to think that we can heal ourselves without the care of the Great Physician.   We need to be like David and ask God to check us out and remove the sin that is within us, and make us useful in His Name.

This is the healing the God wants for all of us, but sometimes it requires surgery.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
